  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 garlic clove, minced (optional)

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

  • Arrange the trimmed asparagus in a single layer on the sheet.

  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and optional garlic.

  • Bake for 10 minutes until just tender.

  • Remove from oven, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the asparagus.

  • Return to oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden top.
