Easy cheesy taco pasta recipe made with seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, and melted cheese for a satisfying one-pot dinner.

  • 250g pasta (penne or shells)
  • 300g ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • Optional toppings: chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in diced onion and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add taco seasoning, tomato sauce, and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Mix in cream cheese until fully incorporated.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and let it melt over low heat.
  8. Serve hot with optional toppings like cilantro, tomatoes, or jalapeños.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream before serving.
  • Adjust taco seasoning to taste for more or less spice.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
