Ingredients
Scale
2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini works best)
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 ½ cups marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken, season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook until chicken is golden and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and stir to coat the chicken evenly. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the cooked pasta, ensuring it is well mixed with the sauce and chicken.
Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the pasta mixture. Cover and let the cheese melt, about 3 minutes.
Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve warm.
Notes
For a creamier texture, add a splash of heavy cream or a dollop of cream cheese to the marinara sauce.
You can use whole-grain or gluten-free pasta as a substitution.
Serve with a side of garlic bread or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
