Savor this easy Chicken Parmesan Pasta recipe featuring tender chicken, marinara sauce, and mozzarella. A comforting, flavorful dinner perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini works best)
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken, season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook until chicken is golden and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and stir to coat the chicken evenly. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in the cooked pasta, ensuring it is well mixed with the sauce and chicken.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the pasta mixture. Cover and let the cheese melt, about 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a splash of heavy cream or a dollop of cream cheese to the marinara sauce.
  • You can use whole-grain or gluten-free pasta as a substitution.
  • Serve with a side of garlic bread or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
