  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
  5. Place fried chicken on a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
