These crispy ground beef tacos are packed with flavor! Seasoned beef, crunchy taco shells, and fresh toppings make them a perfect meal for any night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 8 small corn taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • Cooking oil (for frying, if making shells crispy)

Instructions

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmering for 5 minutes until thickened.
  • If making crispy taco shells, heat oil in a pan and fry the taco shells for 30 seconds per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
  • Fill each taco shell with seasoned beef, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • Customize with avocado, jalapeños, or hot sauce.
  • Try baking taco shells instead of frying for a lighter option.
