  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small tortillas
  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, and chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in taco seasoning, tomato sauce, and water. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Warm tortillas according to package instructions.
  • Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla and top with your choice of toppings.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture or use a hot taco seasoning.
  • Customize your toppings to suit your taste. Avocado slices, hot sauce, and pickled onions are great additions.
