Ingredients
Scale
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning
For the Glaze:
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix together the glaze ingredients: ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Remove and spread the remaining glaze on top. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, sauté the onions and garlic before mixing them into the meatloaf.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness.
Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
