  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  • Flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
