Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Form ground beef into 4 patties, season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • In another pan, melt butter and sauté onions until golden brown.
  • Butter one side of each bread slice. Place one slice in the skillet, butter side down, and top with cheddar, a beef patty, onions, Swiss cheese, and another slice of bread, butter side up.
  • Cook sandwich until bread is golden and cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
