Scale
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
Roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thick and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling for easier handling.
Use mini chocolate chips for a more even chocolate distribution.
Decorate with melted chocolate or sprinkles for extra charm.
