  • 1 large crusty baguette or sub roll
  • 200g halal deli turkey or chicken slices
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup pickled banana peppers
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Slice the baguette or sub roll lengthwise and lightly toast if desired.
  • Spread mayonnaise on both sides of the bread.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
  • Layer the turkey or chicken slices and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion, and banana peppers.
  • Drizzle the dressing over the veggies, then close the sandwich with the top half of the bread.
