Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/3 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then lightly coat with flour, shaking off excess.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken breasts until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add lemon juice and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream and butter, whisking until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce. Simmer for another minute.
Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and herbs before cooking.
Pair this dish with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
