Ingredients
Scale
250g linguine or spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Pour heavy cream and chicken broth into the skillet, stirring to combine.
Add Parmesan cheese, red chili flakes, and Italian seasoning, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta, stirring to coat evenly. Use reserved pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.
Notes
Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing chili flakes.
Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor, but frozen shrimp can work if thawed properly.
Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
