This Marry Me Shrimp Pasta recipe is a rich and creamy dish featuring tender shrimp, garlic, and a perfectly seasoned sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g linguine or spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • Pour heavy cream and chicken broth into the skillet, stirring to combine.
  • Add Parmesan cheese, red chili flakes, and Italian seasoning, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta, stirring to coat evenly. Use reserved pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing chili flakes.
  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor, but frozen shrimp can work if thawed properly.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
