  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, milk, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Mix until just combined.
  • Form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  • Transfer the meatballs to a large saucepan with marinara sauce. Simmer for 20-25 minutes on low heat.
  • Serve over pasta, in sub sandwiches, or as an appetizer.

Notes

  • For extra tender meatballs, soak the breadcrumbs in milk for a few minutes before mixing.
  • Use fresh herbs like basil or parsley for maximum flavor.
  • These meatballs can be frozen before or after cooking for easy meal prep.
