Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz egg noodles or your preferred noodles
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, sliced (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat sesame oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into crumbles. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and beef broth. Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Top with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add vegetables like bell peppers, snap peas, or broccoli for added texture and nutrition.
  • Adjust the sweetness and spice level to your preference.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce if you prefer a less salty dish.
