  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 24 Oreo cookies

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Take about 1.5 tbsp of dough, flatten it, and place an Oreo in the center. Cover with another 1.5 tbsp of dough, sealing the edges around the Oreo.
  • Place the cookie dough-covered Oreos onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 13–15 minutes, until the cookies are golden around the edges.
  • Let cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 15–20 minutes before baking for thicker cookies.
  • For an extra chocolatey twist, use double-stuffed Oreos or flavored varieties.
