8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine noodles
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup reserved pasta water
Instructions
Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in the red chili flakes (if using) and the reserved pasta water, mixing well.
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Toss lightly before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan.
Adjust chili flakes based on spice preference.
