  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine noodles
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in the red chili flakes (if using) and the reserved pasta water, mixing well.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Toss lightly before serving.
