This Shrimp Scampi recipe is a quick and flavorful seafood dish made with tender shrimp sautéed in garlic, butter, and lemon juice. Perfect over pasta or with crusty bread, this classic Italian-American favorite is simple, delicious, and ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)

  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Cooked pasta or crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

  • Pour in wine and lemon juice; simmer for 2–3 minutes.

 

  • Remove from heat, stir in parsley, and serve over pasta or with bread.

Notes

For extra richness, add a tablespoon of cream at the end. Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
